A RED FLAG warning is issued for central Missouri counties, including Carroll and Chariton Counties in the local area. The National Weather Service issued the Red Flag Warning from Noon to 8:00 pm due to low relative humidity and gusty winds.
The National Weather Service says any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
The area can expect gusty westerly winds up to 30 mph. and relative humidity values falling between 15 and 20% this afternoon.
