Rural House Fire – One Person Burned

Chillicothe Fire Department responded to a call for a house for a 9874 LIV 511 at about 6:54 pm Tuesday.  The department arrived on scene in 18 minutes to find the home fully involved and everyone out of the building.  Mutual Aid was requested from Chula and Jamesport for Tankers and personnel.

An ambulance was called to the scene for a burn victim.  The Air Ambulance also landed nearby to transport the patient to an area trauma center.

About 7,000 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
