Investigation of an early morning shooting on Sunday led to multiple arrests in Chillicothe.
A gunshot victim was reported to Chillicothe Police Department at about 2:10 am Sunday and the 18-year-old victim was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment. Officers report a man known to the victim was taken into custody at the hospital.
During the investigation, a traffic stop was made that led to the discovery of evidence related to the shooting. The driver was taken to the police department and a child in the vehicle was released to a family member.
Officers also obtained a warrant to search a residence in the 400 block of Walnut, where they arrested a man and woman who are held at the Caldwell County Detention Center pending charges of alleged unlawful use of a weapon, tampering with evidence, and endangering the welfare of a child.
