Serious And Moderate Injuries In Livingston County Crash

A single-vehicle crash Sunday morning left a 16-year-old boy from Brookfield with moderate injuries and his passenger, a 37-year-old man from Galt with serious injuries.  State Troopers report the crash occurred at about 11:34 am on Route V, 3 miles south of Chula, as the teen was northbound and failed to make it through a curve and ran off the east side of the road.  He overcorrected and ran off the west side of the road, then crossed the road again and the car overturned and struck a utility pole.  They were not wearing safety belts   The teen was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.  The adult was flown to St. Luke’s in Kansas City with Serious injuries.
