Severe Weather Preparedness Week

March 3-7 is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Missouri.  The National Weather Service will have a Tornado Drill as part of the week’s activities.  Each day will have a different severe weather topic.

Monday – Have A Plan

Tuesday – Flooding

Wednesday – Tornadoes

Thursday – Wind and Hail

Friday – Lightning

On Wednesday, a Tornado Drill will be at 11:00 am.  EAS will have tones and messages sounding.  Locally the Tornado sirens will be sounded.

During the drill, you should practice taking shelter or at least discuss how you would take shelter if it were an actual warning.

In case of inclement weather, the Tornado Drill could be rescheduled.
