As the spring weather continues to warm, especially in the rural parts of the state, farmers will be heading to the field. Field Work and planting both mean farm equipment on the roads. Sargent Shane Hux from the Missouri Highway Patrol says to expect them on the roads.
Be patient with them.
Sargent Hux says give them plenty of space and be aware of their actions.
Make eye contact if possible.
When you make the pass, Hux says make it safely.
They could be making a wide turn.
If it appears that they are waving you around, you are still responsible for making that pass safely. If you can not see around them… don’t pass.
