Flag Day will be celebrated in Sumner on Saturday. The Friends of Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting the event at Sumner Community Park, beginning at 10:30 AM. The event begins with Flag Service conducted by the American Legion.
At 11 AM the Dickerson Park Zoo will be presenting a live birds program entitled “The Day Shift, The Night Shift, and the Garbage Gal”. Live birds will be on hand including a Perrigin Falcon, Barn Owl, and a Turkey Vulture.
The Mendon Lions Club will have hot dogs and chips available during the program. There will also be kids’ face painting.
