A fire on LIV 515 on Sunday afternoon destroyed a house and garage. The Chillicothe Fire Department received the call at 1:46 pm and arrived in about 15 minutes to find the house was fully involved. There was no one in the house. Chula and Jamesport were called for mutual aid, providing tankers for water.
The firefighters were on the scene for about four hours and used about 11,000 gallons of water and 10 gallons of foam to extinguish the fire.
They were also assisted by the homeowner.
