Surplus School Buildings – Field Sold – Dewey Available

The Chillicothe R-II School Board approved the sale of one surplus building and allowed another sale to be canceled during their executive session.

The School Board accepted to offer of $145,000 for the purchase of Field School, to Timothy L. Seely and Rachel Seely.  This does not include the surplus property located in the building.

The Board approved the recommendation by Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers that Michael Neal, Luz Verdes, LLC be allowed to exit the contract for the purchase of Dewey School.  The district will retain the $20,000 non-refundable earnest money provided by Michael Neal.

Board member Mitch Holder abstained from both votes.
