Trenton Firefighters Respond To Car Fire And House Fire Saturday

Trenton Firefighters were called for a house fire and car fire Saturday.

Trenton firefighters responded to a car fire Saturday morning at about 10:18 am.  The call was on East Tenth Street, behind the grocery store.  The fire crew arrived to find the fire in the engine compartment and heavy smoke.  The cause of the fire is undetermined and there were no injuries.  The fire was put out in about 38 minutes and the fire crew returned to service.

 

A House fire at 71301 Lakeview Drive in Leasure Lake summoned Trenton Firefighters Saturday at about 12:10 pm  The fire crew arrived to find the house fully involved and a camper in front of the house on fire.  Another camper behind the home was also on fire.  Firefighters worked to keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures.  The report states the house was not occupied and there were no injuries.  The house was a total loss.

The cause of the fire was a controlled burn that caught the front yard on fire and spread to the home.

The Trenton Fire Department was assisted by Jamesport Fire and Rescue.  They were on the scene for about 2 hours.
