Two Fatal Crashes In Area Counties Wednesday

State Troopers report two fatal crashes in the area counties on Wednesday.

In Dekalb County, a single vehicle crash at about 9:08 am took the life of the driver of a three-wheeled vehicle.  State Troopers report the 28-year-old man from Cameron was eastbound on US 36, a mile west of Cameron, when he lost control and skidded off the south side of the road, and his vehicle overturned, and he was ejected.  He was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, where he later died.  He was not wearing a helmet or a seat belt.

In Chariton County, a two-vehicle crash on US 24 at Missouri 129 took the life of one driver.  State Troopers report a westbound semi driven by a 44-year-old Glasgow man struck a northbound vehicle, driven by an 85-year-old Salisbury woman, when she pulled her car into the path of the semi.  The woman died at the scene of the crash.  She was not wearing a safety belt.
