A total 145 customers were affected by the four water main breaks handled by the CMU Water Resources Department, beginning Sunday and continuing through Monday afternoon. Superintendent Chris Bonderer says three have been repaired and one, on Woodrow, needs to be completed.
The customers affected by the water interruption were placed under a boil advisory that remains in place until the testing comes back. Bonderer says that should be today. Those customers will have a notice placed on their door when the boil advisory is lifted.
He says some areas of town had water pressure reduced as they tried to supply other areas affected by the breaks. Those customers are not affected by the boil advisory unless one was posted at their location.
Final repairs to the main on Woodrow will likely be made with the line live, and should not require a boil advisory.
