Weekend Chillicothe Police Report

Nearly 190 calls were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department from Friday through Sunday.  Some of the calls include:

On Friday, officers investigated a stalled vehicle and a well-being check that led to an ongoing investigation into fraud and elderly abuse.  A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and another was taken for mental health evaluation following a violent episode.  Police also helped locate a “stolen” vehicle, which the owner had simply forgotten where they had parked.  A vehicle was also removed from a ditch with no injuries reported.

Saturday’s activity included two domestic disturbance calls—one resulting in a woman being transported for mental health evaluation.  Officers returned a runaway 9-year-old to her mother and responded to a well-being check.

On Sunday, officers were called to a domestic dispute and are currently investigating a report of sexual abuse of a minor.

Throughout the weekend, police also conducted routine traffic stops, business and vehicle checks, and followed up on ongoing investigations.
