The Chillicothe Police Department report for the weekend includes 174 calls from Friday through Sunday.
Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at U.S. 65 and Highway 190 Friday afternoon, with no injuries reported. Police also handled several disturbance and suspicious person calls, along with a report of a vehicle speeding through a neighborhood.
On Saturday, officers investigated a report of a vehicle occupant brandishing what appeared to be a firearm, but the vehicle was not located. Police also determined a reported child trafficking incident was unfounded after speaking with the child and parent. One driver was arrested during a traffic stop for driving without a valid license and later released with a citation.
Early Sunday, officers made a DWI arrest during a traffic stop on Business 36. Other calls included a missing person report—where the individual later returned safely—alarm calls at local businesses, a welfare check involving an intoxicated person, and assistance to the fire department with an illegal burn, which resulted in a warning.
Several other calls over the weekend involved noise complaints, animal calls, and routine checks.
