A report of a structure fire at a location on LIV 236 summoned the Wheeling Fire Department Thursday night, with mutual aid provided by Chillicothe, Chula, and Meadville departments.
The call came in at about 9:07 pm and fire crews arrived to find a garage or storage building fully involved. Tankers and water shuttles were requested to assist in putting out the fire that destroyed the building.
Nearly 12,000 gallons of water was used and the Wheeling fire department was on the scene untill about 2:00 am Friday. The cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical.
