The Chillicothe Hornets golf team competed in their first tournament of the season and emerged with a first-place finish at the Cameron Invitational, edging Maysville by one stroke with a team score of 328 at Cameron Veterans Memorial Golf Course.
Competing in difficult conditions that featured steady winds of 15–20 mph and gusts reaching 35 mph, Chillicothe managed the course effectively to secure the narrow victory. Chillicothe was led by freshman A.J. Warren, who earned medalist honors with a tournament-best 75. Warren posted rounds of 40 on the front nine and 35 on the back to finish two strokes clear of the field.
Jameson Marshall added an 83 to tie for 8th place, while Keagan Menconi finished just behind with an 84 to place 10th.
