The Chillicothe Lady Hornets softball team was on the road in Hamilton facing the Penney Lady Hornets.
Chillicothe dominated the contest from the opening pitch. Scoring 5 runs in each of the first two innings. Shortstop Ashlynn Daugherty had an excellent night, going 3/3 from the plate and scoring three runs.
Defensively Chillicothe shut down Penney, Jordan Foster and Jaiden Rodenberg combined in the circle to pitch a shutout.
Chillicothe closed out the game scoring four runs in the 5th inning and won 15-0. The victory improves the Lady Hornets to 19-6. Chillicothe will host Centralia on Tuesday.
