The Chillicothe Lady Hornets volleyball team defeated Carrollton in straight sets on Tuesday night. The Lady Hornets attacked the Trojans from the opening serve, taking Carrollton down 25-14, 25-16 and 25-21. Some of the major players for Chillicothe included Lyla Beetsma with 13 kills and 21 digs, Emerson Staton had 13 kills and 10 digs, Ava Leamer contributed 3 serving aces to go along with 4 kills, while Carmen Woodworth supplied 29 setting assists and Liz Oliver added 6 kills in the victory.
The Lady Hornets improve to 8-2 on the season and will play at Bishop Leblond Thursday night.
