The Lady Hornets volleyball team continued their hot streak through the middle of the season, collecting their sixth straight win, this time over Marshall in straight sets. Chillicothe won 25-14, 25-8 and 25-8. Coach Beetsma challenged her team to play to their level of ability regardless of opponent and she was happy with her teams efforts on Monday.
Lyla Beetsma had a big night with 20 kills, 3 serving aces and 7 digs. Emerson Staton added 12 kills and 2 serving aces. Ava Leamer finished the match with a team high 12 digs to go along with 2 aces and 7 kills while Carman Woodworth provided 35 assists.
Chillicothe is 13-2 on the season and plays at Kirksville on Tuesday.
