The Chillicothe Hornets and Lady Hornets wrestling teams competed in the Midland Empire Conference tournament in St. Joseph at Benton High School.
The Chillicothe Hornets boys team placed 5th in the conference, the Hornets had one individual winner, Carter Shipers who won five separate matches to take gold in 138. James Hail also finished in 3rd in his weight class. St. Pius won the MEC for boys wrestling with a score of 263, Chillicothe totaled 80 points.
The Lady Hornets wrestlers were runners-up in the MEC meet with several athletes who won their class. Riley Jones, Yoo Jung Lee, Tori Stoner and Keonna Morgan earned first place in conference. Bailey Bachman and Caiden Depee each finished 2nd for Chillicothe. The Lady Hornets total team score was 110, just behind Cameron at 148.
