Hornets Blow By Brookfield

The Chillicothe Hornets boys basketball team took on the Brookfield Bulldogs on Monday night at NCMC for Holiday Hoops. Chillicothe’s defense got the Hornets out to an early advantage, allowing just three 1st quarter points. The Chillicothe Hornets had a double digit lead at the end of one quarter.

 

The Hornets did more of the same in the second quarter, dominating the glass. Jaishon White had over 10 rebounds in the first half and the Hornets held a 27-10 lead at the break. Chillicothe was able to get their entire roster involved in the game highlighted by Oliver Perry’s career night, the junior came off the bench to score a game high 15 points as Chillicothe pulled away for a 53-23 victory.

 

The Hornets improved to 7-3 on the season with the win and will next play on January 9th at home in their first Midland Empire Conference game of the season when they take on Bishop Leblond.
