The Chillicothe Hornets boys cross country team finished 2nd in Districts & are heading to state, along with Yoo Jung Lee on the girls side.
Seniors Cain Evans and Yoo Jung Lee have now qualified for state all four years. Lee is the 3rd female runner in program history to accomplish this, while Evans is the first boy ever to achieve this at Chillicothe.
On the Boys side Brody Norris ran a 19:09 (53 second PR) to finish in 38th place and secure a 2nd place team finish for the boys, 20 points behind Benton. Top 4 teams move onto state, and the Hornets are very excited to make another state run next weekend.
Chillicothe will head to state Friday morning for a Friday evening course run and preview, then Saturday the Hornets will race in the Class 3 Championships to see if they can bring home some more hardware! Yoo Jung will race at 9:45am, Boys will race at 11:15am on the Gans Creek Course in Columbia.
