Hornets Offense Propels Chillicothe Past Savannah

The Chillicothe Hornets boys basketball team defeated Savannah in the 3rd place game of the Savannah Tournament 62-46. The Hornets played an excellent offensive first half, feeding Jaishon White in the post and finding Sol’jier Allen and Kenyen Gannan for open threes. Chillicothe held a 38-23 lead at the break.

 

In the 2nd half Savannah made a run to cut the margin to single digits but the Hornets took care of the basketball and closed it out late for a 62-46 win. White and Allen both finished with 20+ points in the victory for Chillicothe. Allen was named to the Savannah Tournament All-tournament team.

 

The Hornets move to 2-2 on the season and will host Trenton next Friday night.
