The Lady Hornets golf team competed on Thursday against Hamilton and Princeton at Green Hills Golf Course. Chillicothe had another impressive and balanced round in the 9 hole event. Gracelynn Barnett was the top medalist in the match shooting a 45. Hamilton’s Isabelle Potts was 2nd with a 46, but the next two spots were claimed by Chillicothe to land 3 of the top 4. Lyla Oesch and Caylee Anderson each finished with a 48. As a team, Chillicothe scored a 196 and Princeton finished 2nd with a 234.
The previous day on Wednesday, Chillicothe’s golfers were in Richmond competing against 14 teams and had a strong 5th place outing. Lady Hornets golfer Presley Rardon finished tied for 6th overall with a 90 out of the 68 golfers at the tournament. Lyla Oesch also finished in the top 15 with a 95. South Harrison’s Abby Owens won the Richmond invitational scoring a 77.
