The Lady Hornets softball team was at St. Pius on Tuesday evening and made quick work of their conference opponent. Chillicothe entered the game 5-0 in the MEC while the Warriors were 1-4. Chillicothe was leading 1-0 at the end of the first before ripping off 6 runs in the 2nd and then 10 in the 3rd. St. Pius scored their lone run in the 3rd inning before the game was called due to the run rule. Ali Probasco and Hayden Hansen were both perfect from the plate scoring three times each as the Lady Hornets got 17 runs on 15 hits.
Chillicothe is now 15-2 this season overall and 6-0 in the MEC after the 17-1 win with just one conference game to play. The Lady Hornets will step out of conference Thursday to play at Macon in a game you can hear on KCHI with first pitch at 5 PM.
