The Chillicothe Lady Hornets volleyball team closed out the regular season Monday night against Benton. Chillicothe defeated their MEC rival in four sets 25-10, 16-25, 25-20, 25-12. The victory earned Chillicothe a final 5-1 record in conference play, making them champions of the MEC. It is the first time in program history the Lady Hornets have won the conference title.
Chillicothe’s 5-1 MEC mark put them level with Bishop Leblond and Savannah, who are all co-conference champions. Chillicothe finishes the regular season at 28-4 overall and begins district play from Bishop Leblond this week.
