The Chillicothe Lady Hornets varsity volleyball team earned a straight-set victory over Kirksville on Tuesday night, winning 3-0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-8).
Lyla Beetsma led the offense with 15 kills and 11 digs, while Emerson Staton added 13 kills, 7 digs, 3 service aces, and 11 block assists. Ava Leamer contributed 7 kills and a team-high 16 digs. Setter Carman Woodworth directed the attack with 33 assists, along with 7 digs and 2 service aces. Mya Oliver also added 2 aces from the service line, and Kami Snyder recorded 5 block assists at the net.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improved to 17-4 on the season. Chillicothe will be on the road at Cameron Thursday night.
