Chillicothe was trailing 14-0 in the 2nd quarter but put together a promising drive, moving the ball down to the 1 yard line. After a penalty Chillicothe was facing 4th and goal from the 6 yard line when Hornets quarterback Landon Bailey threw his 2nd interception both by Savannah’s Jackson Dudeck. The Savannah defender returned the pick out near midfield, setting up the Savages for another score.

Chillicothe trailed 21-0 at halftime and Savannah quickly made it 28-0 on their opening series in the 3rd quarter. Collin Cleary joined Knechtenhofer with a pair of rushing touchdowns and Savannah added one more courtesy of Cale Wiley to run away with a 35-0 victory.

Savannah improves to 7-0 on the season, 4-0 in conference and will play for the MEC crown next week against Maryville. Chillicothe drops to 2-5, 1-3 in the MEC. The Hornets will play at Odessa next Friday in a non-conference clash.
