Hale Fire Protection District Hazmat Training

Hale Fire Protection District has been selected to host free training to help prepare for hazardous material incidents.  The new Train the Trainer program is offered through a partnership between the National Volunteer Fire Council and U.S. Department of Transportation – Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Association.

Hale Fire Protection District was selected as one of 15 sites nationwide to receive the training. The program aims to help first responders gain the knowledge and skills they need to train others in their communities on hazmat safety and response.

The training will take place at the Hale Community Hall on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Registration is required, and a link can be found with this story.

The course will focus on teaching hazmat basics and teaching basic decon.
