Upgrades to Fast Lane Entertainment Center approved by City Council

Two upgrades at the City Owned Fast Lane Family Entertainment Center were approved by the Chillicothe City Council.  Brian Minnis with Maxim, who operates the Bowling Lanes, explained the need for upgrades to the Scoring, Management, and Marketing systems.

The upgraded system will cost the city $200,670.  This includes installation and an upgrade to a larger monitor above the lanes.

Installation will likely take place after the first of the new year, and be complete before the center hosts the Elks Bowling Tournament.

In addition, the Council approved Lane Leveling.  Minnis explains:

The lanes are currently rated at 91, and the lane leveling could bring that to 99.

The cost of Lane Leveling is $10,800.

The City has plans to pay for the work.  The Lane Leveling would come from operating funds.  Paying for the Scoring System would include $135,000 from available ARPA funds and approximately $65.000 from Capital Improvement.
