The Chillicothe Lady Hornets tennis team for the second time this season ran into a tennis buzz saw. Chillicothe lost at Marshall in the District Team Championship 5-0. In district play off team tennis, once one team wins five matches, the contest ends.
For Chillicothe, Keithley and Cypert lost 5-8, Reeter and Reeter lost 2-8, Cavanah and Zimmerman lost 5-8.
In singles play, Cypert lost 0-6, 0-6 and Keithley lost 0-6, 1-6.
While the full team season has ended, players will still compete to qualify for the state singles or doubles tournament.
