Demolition Contract Approved By Council

The contract to demolish three houses that have been condemned by the city was awarded to Perkins Dozing.  The  Chillicothe City Council approved the contract which totals $29,750.  That includes asbestos removal – if it is needed, by a certified person. The properties are at 1547 Bryan, 624 Cherry, and 615 Vine street.

Council Approves Procedures For Administrative Search Warrants

Procedures for issuing administrative search warrants were approved by the Chillicothe City Council Monday.  The ordinance was presented by City Attorney Robert Cowherd.  Cowherd says this would be used for issues that include nuisance abatement. The council approved the ordinance that establishes the procedures the city must follow to obtain those warrants.
