Bridge rehabilitation projects will begin soon in the local counties. The Missouri Department of Transportation announced Lehman Construction, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to begin work Monday on two bridges located on US 24 in Chariton County followed by two US 65 bridges in Carroll County.
In Chariton County, on US 24, work will take place on the Chariton River and Long Creek Bridges. Work begins Monday and will continue through late May.
In Carroll County, on US 65, work will take place on the Wakenda Creek and Missouri River Overflow Bridges. The work begins mid-May and should be completed in late October.
During the work, traffic will be narrowed to a single lane and directed over each bridge with traffic signals.
