Veterans Services Coming to Trenton in September

Several services for local veterans will be available in Trenton during the month of September.

On Friday, September 5th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Veterans Service Officer will be at Trenton VFW Post 919 to assist with VA paperwork and answer questions. Veterans are asked to bring a copy of their DD-214 and any VA paperwork they have.

That same day, beginning at 11 a.m. and lasting until everyone is seen, a counselor from the Kansas City Vet Center will be on hand. The Vet Center provides counseling for readjustment, PTSD, and depression.

Another visit from the Veterans Service Officer is scheduled for Monday, September 8th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., again at VFW Post 919.

A PTSD and readjustment counselor is also available on call. Veterans who would like to talk can call 660-359-2078.

The program is also looking for VA Shuttle Drivers. For more information, call the same number — 660-359-2078.
