Chillicothe has a new interim Fire Chief. The Chillicothe City Council has appointed Eric Reeter as the interim Fire Chief until current Fire Chief Darrell Wright returns.
Wright is taking an extended leave from the department.
Mayor Teresa Kelly stated she supported the Council action, stating that Chief Wright has been an outstanding Fire Chief for the City and Eric Reeter has the experience and training to perform the duties of interim Fire Chief in a highly professional manner.
She stated the Council action maintains a clear line of command within the Fire Department and will permit the Fire Department to continue to act in an efficient manner during Chief Wright’s absence.
