The Chillicothe Mudcats beat the Peak Prospects 4-3 on Friday.
The Mudcats got a 1 out double in the first from Dom Trevino. He would score on the next play on an error and finish 2-5 with a couple runs scored. On to the 2nd, Chet Merritt, Hunter Johnson, and Branden Settles would all single. The Cats plated one to make it 2-1. In the 7th, 3-1 Mudcats, Tate Wargo singled to lead off the inning and proceeded to steal home in a wild play. It would prove to be the winning run. On in the 8th 4-3 Chillicothe, Wargo would saved the day again by throwing out a Prospects runner at home trying to tie the game. Cats newcomer Brian Vanyo went 7 innings allowing just 1 run and 4 hits. Chandler Griggs would come on and save it for the Mudcats 2nd win in a row.
