The latest unemployment numbers look good for Livingston and the surrounding counties.
According to the Department of Labor, State-wide unemployment numbers in Missouri for May 2019 stayed unchanged for another month at 3.3%. The national rate also stayed the same from April at 3.6%
Livingston county unemployment once again was the lowest in the area at 2.2% for May, up slightly from 2.1% in April
Caldwell County was 3% up from 2.7%
Carroll County was 2.9%, up from 2.7%
Chariton County was 2.6%, up from 2.4%
Daviess County was 2.8%, down slightly from 2.9%
Grundy County was unchanged, staying another month at 3.2%
Sullivan County was 3%, up slightly from 2.9% in April
