While U. S. Route 65 remains closed between Carrollton and Waverly due to continued flooding, contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation were able to begin a bridge rehabilitation project at the Wakenda Bridge.
Once Highway 65 is reopened, travelers can expect to encounter daily lane closures at the bridge. Work is hoped to be completed in late August.
