Last fall, the Chillicothe Softball team finished 11-9 on the season but tied for second place in the Midland Empire Conference and second in Districts.
With a large number of players and starters returning, goals are high for the team.
Coach Mike Jones says his team should be battle tested by the end of the regular season with a larger number of games, including the normal Tournaments.
Jones says with the new MSHSAA rules, he is now looking to add two more games to the regular season schedule. The team is allowed to now play up to 28 regular season games.
