The Southwest Livingston County Wildcats are headed for the 2019 8-Man Show Me Bowl title game. The Wildcats built an early lead then held off a stubborn Pattonsburg team to win 74-68.
Mack Anderson led Southwest with 8 rushing touchdowns. This will be Southwest’s first Show Me Bowl since finishing second in 1990.
Southwest will play Mound City, a 52-6 winner over Drexel. The Championship game will be Saturday November 30th on Faurot Field in Columbia at 11:00am.
Southwest beat Mound City on the road in week four 58-34. Mound City is 11-2 on the season. Southwest is 11-1 and have won 11 in a row since an opening season loss to Tarkio.
In 11-man playoffs Class 1 Marceline beat South Callaway 20-7 to advance to the semi-finals against unbeaten Lincoln. Mid Buchanan faces Valley Catholic in the other semi-final.
In Class 2 Lathrop beat Summit Christian to advance to the semi finals.
In Class 3, the MEC is done with football. Odessa hammered Savannah 53-31 to advance to the Semi-Finals.
