Area basketball results from Wednesday’s State Sectional Games:
Class 2 Girls
East Buchanan girls ended Wellington’s undefeated season with a 54-46 win
East Buchanan, at 26-3, will face Miller, at 25-5
Class 2 Boys
Milan improved to 24-3 with a 61-44 win over Van-Far
Milan boys will face Eugene, a 70-64 overtime winner over 27-1 New Franklin
Class 3 Girls
Maryville girls improved to 21-5 with a 51-32 win over St Michael the Archangel from Kansas City. Maryville faces 23-4 Macon girls which ended Chillicothe’s season.
Class 3 Boys
The team that ended Chillicothe Boys basketball season, is now also done with Basketball. Monroe City had few problems beat Richmond 48-32. Monroe City is now 27-2 and will face KC Central.
