A bridge that has been closed for deficiencies since late 2018 will be replaced soon. MoDOT says the Route PP Bridge in Sullivan County was closed after a routine inspection showed critical deterioration to the structure.
Contractors from Widel Inc., working with MoDOT, will replace the 65-year-old bridge. Equipment is already moving into place and the work is expected to start Monday as they prepare for the demolition that begins on March 15th.
The new bridge is expected to open before the July 4th holiday
