The Chillicothe Police Department report for the weekend includes 191 calls for service.
On Friday, officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 36 near U.S. 65 when a driver struck a concrete barrier while attempting a U-turn. No injuries were reported. Officers also investigated an assault in the 900 block of Birch Street, where one person was arrested for third-degree assault and another was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
Police made contact in several domestic-related incidents, including one in a vehicle that led to the arrest of a woman on warrants out of Harrisonville and Ray County. A juvenile was taken into custody following a domestic assault on Dickenson Street. Officers also began investigating a reported sexual assault that allegedly occurred earlier in the week.
Saturday morning, a traffic stop on Walnut Street resulted in the arrest of a driver for impairment. Narcotics and drug paraphernalia were reportedly found in the vehicle. Officers also took theft and property damage reports and responded to trespassing complaints and several false business alarms.
On Sunday, officers assisted with two accidents, including a single-vehicle crash on Business 36 in which the driver was transported to the hospital. No injuries were reported in a separate two-vehicle crash on private property.
In addition to these incidents, officers conducted routine traffic stops, business checks, and follow-up investigations throughout the weekend.
