Council Reviews Airport Wildlife Management Plan

The Wildlife Management Plan for the Chillicothe Municipal Airport was presented to the Chillicothe City Council.  The plan will rely heavily on less-than-lethal means of reducing wildlife.

The wildlife includes deer, coyotes, turkey, geese, and soaring birds.

If animals must be dispatched, they will need to have a person who has been approved by the Chillicothe Police Department, and a permit must be issued for those animals.

Any meat harvested would be properly processed and donated to an appropriate food shelf or similar group.
