The Chillicothe Hornets turned in a strong showing at the MEC Conference Golf Tournament on May 4 at Mozingo Lake Golf Course, finishing third overall with a team score of 335.
Savannah captured the conference championship with a 316, followed by Maryville in second at 329, with Chillicothe close behind in third. Rounding out the conference standings were Benton (336) in fourth, Bishop LeBlond (341) in fifth, Lafayette (397) in sixth, and Cameron (416) in seventh.
Chillicothe was led by A.J. Warren, who fired a 76 to earn a third-place individual finish. Warren’s round trailed only top medalist Colin Hoffmann of Maryville (71) and Savannah’s Levi Lindley (72).
Supporting the effort for Chillicothe, Jameson Marshall (84) and Nick Radcliff (85) both contributed solid rounds. Case Stretch (90) and Keagan Menconi (91) completed the team scoring as the Hornets showed consistency across the lineup, a key factor in their top-three finish.
