A motorcycle crash Saturday night in Chariton County took the life of the passenger and left the driver with serious injuries. State Troopers report the crash occurred at about 11:20 pm on US 24 near the Chariton River. According to the report, the driver, a 47-year-old man from Brookfield, was eastbound and ran off the road, ejecting both the driver and passenger. The passenger, a 43-year-old woman from Keytesville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver had serious injuries and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.
