Ninety-one calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Wednesday.
Officers responded to a person in crisis who was taken to a hospital for evaluation, and completed a welfare check where no assistance was needed. Police are investigating two separate reports of stealing, one on South Washington Street and another on Polk Street.
Other calls included a non-injury traffic crash on private property, complaints about dogs left unattended in vehicles, suspicious door-to-door sales that were stopped after officers advised the individuals of the city ordinance, and several calls involving the same individual near the Children’s Library and another nearby business for suspicious activity and possible trespassing. Officers also answered a harassment-related inquiry, conducted routine traffic stops and business checks, and continued regular patrol operations throughout the day.
