The Litton Legacy of Dreams event was held Sunday at the Litton Ag Center. The event commemorated 50 years since the death of Congressman Jerry Litton. The event brought together an estimated 500 attendees to remember and celebrate the life and legacy of Jerry Litton. Ed Turner, Litton’s Chief of Staff, talked about one of the congressman’s best traits.
He was an extraordinary communicator.
The program included comments from Carley McLean from the Litton Leadership Scholars, Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Chris Chinn on the A LOT (Agriculture Leaders Of Tomorrow) program, Congressman Sam Graves, and MU President Mun Choi.
Turner expressed his thoughts following the event.
Hope that people get the incentive to continue to dream big dreams
and work very very hard to make them come true.
In addition to the program, the Litton Foundation provided displays of Litton memorabilia, videos of his life, family, the farm and Charolais cattle, and his time in public service.
