Terry Lynn Bloss

Terry Lynn Bloss, age 81, a longtime resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at his home in Chillicothe, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Terry was born on March 2, 1945, the son of Cledith and Maxine (Rupe) Bloss in Detroit, Michigan. He was a 1963 graduate of Chillicothe High School. On May 26, 1989, he married Kim Mason in Sedona, Arizona. She survives of the home.

Terry has been an avid old custom car enthusiast all of his life. He always liked to customize cars. He has been in Auto Body Repair since high school. He owned and operated Terry’s Body Shop from 1974 until 1998, which in 1998, he semi-retired from auto body repair. He moved the business to the home garage for a few years part-time.  He then worked for Verelle Peniston State School as a bus driver from 2007 until 2011. After that, he went to work for OATS Transportation as a driver from 2011 until present, and was loved by many passengers. He was a member of the Chillicothe United Methodist Church. Terry was also a member of Night Riders Car Club in Chillicothe, and co-organizer of the Chillicothe Lions Club Car Show for 38 years, which brings joy to many.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Bloss, of the home; two daughters, Remick Bloss and Relani Begley, both of Utah; two sons, Kent Williams and Brent Bloss both of Chillicothe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gayle and Rena Mason of Kearney, Missouri; step father-in-law, Steve Walker of Arizona; brother-in-law, Kelly Mason (Marde) of Liberty, Missouri; sister-in-law, Kerri Mason of Kansas City, Missouri; several grandchildren, Madison Begley, Reagan Begley, Chaney Begley, and Harrison Begley, all of Utah, and Trent Bloss, Tristen Bloss, Haddy Heussner, and Trace Bloss, all of Meadville, Missouri; one great granddaughter, Brynleigh Mae Bloss of Meadville, Missouri. Terry is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Mark Mavis (Robin), Christopher Mavis, Shelby Mavis (Gianna), Auston Mavis (Ashley), all of Kansas City, Missouri, Shawn Moore, and Brittany Moore, both of Utah, Madelynn Bamburg (Max), McKinley Mason (Alaina Jo), Marshall Mason, Mary Grace Mason (Dominic), Marie Bamburg, Mason Bamburg, Dean Mavis, Olive Mavis, and Russell Mavis, all of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The visitor register will be available for friends to sign on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
