The Livingston County Central Emergency Management Services, the 911 service for Livingston County, handles about 3100 calls per month. Director Eric Menconi says their crew of 9 dispatchers and this has been steady since they took over dispatch services from the Police Department. Menconi says they are responsible for handling calls for the entire county.

The organization received some initial funding from the City of Chillicothe and Livingston County, but Menconi says they are supported by a sales tax collected by the state and disbursed monthly.
